Ash Wednesday Service
You are invited to worship with us on Wednesday, February 17th in observance of Ash Wednesday. We will have soup at 6pm in fellowship hall and the service will start at 7pm in the chapel. Please join us.

Welcome to United Presbyterian Church. We are a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) located at the corner of 11th and Beard Streets in the downtown district of Shawnee. We are a close knit family of disciples of Jesus Christ and we want to invite you to worship with us every Sunday morning at 10:45am. In a day and age of technological sophistry, we continue to worship in a “classic” style involving a choir, classic hymns, and Presbyterian liturgy. We also include modern music, world music, and dance.
Our church has continued meeting together for worship every Sunday since 1892. That makes us the longest continuing church in the Shawnee area. We have a strong tradition of worship that includes both heart and mind.
Join us for worship this week. You can dress up or dress down, we don’t care – we just want you with us!
Bring the children with you. We have a nursery that meets needs for families with children from infant – 3rd grade during worship. We are rebuilding our children’s program to meet the needs of Shawnee’s modern family thourgh our Kirk Night program (“Kirk” is the Scottish word for “church) and we want to invite you to help us.
